The competition was held for the third time in conjunction with the Branding Energy seminar in Iceland. Fingrid has been in the top three every time, and this time it won the whole competition.
The companies were assessed according to diverse criteria, such as the solutions it uses to serve customers and how it stands out from competitors in its own category. The winners were selected on the basis of a panel of professionals, a consumer study and an independent analysis. The panel consisted of dozens of energy industry and branding experts and business consultants who selected the candidates for the world’s best energy industry brands.
Finland performed very well in the competition, since Virta – which provides smart charging points for electric cars – won the Best Product Brand category. Helen Oy from Helsinki was one of the finalists in the Best Established Brand category.
