The Aurora Line is Fingrid’s most important investment this decade

The third transmission line between Finland and Sweden, running from Pyhänselkä in Muhos, Finland, to Messaure in Northern Sweden, is proceeding as planned. Fingrid and Svenska kraftnät are jointly responsible for the project. The connection will reduce the price of electricity in Finland.

Jarmo Henttinen, substation moderniser

Project Manager Jarmo Henttinen has taken charge of the repair work at several substations that Fingrid has overhauled in recent years, as well as the construction of new substations. The overhauls of the Imatra and Länsisalmi substations, among others, have had a substantial visible impact on nationally significant landscapes.
